The Protur Hotel Bonamar is an adults only gem that serves up plenty of peace and quiet with your suntan. But it's not just the tranquil vibe you'll adore – just wait until you've seen the fabulous setting. Set just a few meters from the seafront, the soundtrack to your holiday will be the blissful sound of waves washing the shore. Pretty calming, we think you'll agree. The hotel itself is fringed by lush greenery and nodding palms so it's just as easy on the eye as your surroundings. The first feature that'll catch your eye will be the pool. Whether you're swimming, lounging, or hanging out by the pool bar, this king-size water feature will form a central focus for your getaway. But your days don't have to be based around sun cream and loungers- At the Protur Hotel Bonamar you get a packed programme of daytime and evening activities, too. Every day of the week you can choose from a choice of live music and professional shows. If you prefer to get involved in the active stuff, there are an array of opportunities to get your pulse racing. Hit the gym for a quick workout. Head over to the games room for some competitive action. Or take the short walk to the beach where you can indulge in some fast-paced watersports. At the end of an active session, the whirlpool bath and indoor pool are the splendid way to wind down. This place is just the ticket if you're looking to rest, chill out and recharge your batteries. And that, after all, is what a holiday's all about…

A holiday at Protur Hotel Bonamar in Cala Bona offers a relaxing base with plenty of traditional Majorcan charm. Cala Bona is a relatively quiet family resort, ideal for families and couples but the younger set dont have to miss out on the party scene which is centred in the nearby larger and livelier sister resort of Cala Millor, which is within around 15 minutes walking distance and is also accessible via a short taxi ride or seafront mini-tram service.

The holiday destination of Cala Bona and the twin resort of Cala Millor are positioned on the eastern coast of the island of Majorca. The two resorts are separated by a 5 minute taxi trip or 20 minutes walk if you prefer the exercise.

Most destinations in Majorca are biased towards either British or German tourists. Cala Bona is definitely a British resort while Cala Millor is a little different as a mixed holiday town where both British and German tourists frequent in large numbers. Cala Bona is without doubt the quieter of the two resorts making it ideal for young families. In Cala Bona most of the evening entertainment is set in local hotels. Staying at Protur Hotel Bonamar in Cala Bona is not recommended for holidaymakers wanting to party every night away but Cala Millor offers plenty of night life and as previously mentioned is only a 5 minute taxi fare or a 20 minute walk away.

Cala Bona has developed from a tiny Spanish fishing village into a bustling resort on Majorca's quieter east coast. The origins of Cala Bona is shown as the resort retains several original narrow streets. The harbour is an interesting part of the resort of Cala Bona. The harbour has been refurbished recently and now offers a range of al fresco cafes, watering holes and eateries. Several Cala Bona tourist excursions can be booked at the harbour.

If you choose a holiday at Protur Hotel Bonamar in Cala Bona there are loads of options. Cala Bona offers a few small sandy beaches enclosed by artificial breakwaters forming calm, sheltered lagoons ideal for swimming and paddling in relative safety. In recent years these lagoons appear to have formed a trap for the local seaweed to gather both in the water and on the beach. The local council have been proactive in dealing with this problem by removing the seaweed to avoid a build up. Cala Bona's beaches are now probably in fine fettle as a result of the council's efforts.

So a holiday in Cala Bona at Protur Hotel Bonamar certainly offers all the ideal ingredients for a magical Majorcan holiday, stunning beaches, superb restaurants and stunning scenery. Cala Bona has a newly reformed harbour and pedestrianised zone as its focal point. If you decide to holiday at Protur Hotel Bonamar you can chill out in one of the many restaurants and cafes that surround this traditional heart of the resort. The beaches of Cala Bona and Cala Milor offer plenty of space to lounge, along with loads of watersports like sailing and windsurfing.
